I never reviewed an apartment with this poor review because this is my first time having terrible experiences with the leasing office (Consider this as zero).
Don't fall for the reviews which are all about maintenance.
It looks high because the office sends you a link after every maintenance to review the maintenance and links to Google reviews. So you will notice that all good reviews are about the maintenance but NOT the leasing office.
You will deal with their negligence and unprofessionalism. You have to contact them multiple times to get something fixed or resolved yet they are still ignoring you.
Soon after I moved in, I had an issue with dirty water and had to report it multiple times to fix it because the maintenance team could not find the source. I called the office and they told me to report to the city of Santa Clara because it was not their fault. hahaha, And they kept saying hot water worked fine so they didn't see a problem. Wait..what? I suggested checking the pipes, and they finally fixed it from the boiler. It took 10 days to get clean water.
Second, it was not a smoke-free apartment although they say so. I reported multiple times about the smoking smell but again they ignored me and didn’t do anything. I smelled disgusting cigarettes and pot smells whether it was morning or night and this continued for two years.
Third, they made a lot of mistakes. One time they sent me wrong letters, put a notification in my mailbox instead of putting it on the door, and gave me a late renewal notice about 2 weeks before my lease ends after my first year. I tried to understand one or two times because we are all human beings but too many. Also, they miscalculated the prorated amount for the last month. I checked multiple times with them to confirm and the office confirmed this was it. Even if it was miscalculated, they should have notified me about the outstanding balance earlier but they didn’t. Now they are changing their words saying they didn’t know that before and the current team is new here. Well, you had multiple chances to fix your mistakes but you didn’t do anything.
And several packages went missing although they were delivered to the package room. They never fixed the security camera so you have to deal with package thieves.
Lastly, they don't care about your move-out. They didn't send me the move-out process and didn't do any inspection before I moved out. so I had to figure it out on my own based on my previous experience. And I cleaned the unit but they still charged $400 for the 1x1 unit and carpet cleaning which I never got before. I always cleaned every time I moved out and never charged with cleaning fees so it was another extra.
It looks like you can save some money, but you cannot save your quality of life if you choose to live in Nantucket. And there is always a reason for that. Never recommend Nantucket Apartments.
We moved in during COVID and we love love our place! The community is super clean! Feel very safe here. Our Frenchie loves taking walks to the park that is just a hop, skip and jump away. The maintenance crew is amazing! Jose & Sergio are very professional and provide service with a smile! Great place to live!!!!
We love living at Nantucket. We moved from across the country so had to do everything virtually and Arielle was so friendly, helpful, responsive and informative. The community is conveniently located close to shops and highways but is away from high traffic areas. It is clean, safe and landscaped beautifully. We are thrilled with our choice and would highly recommend Nantucket Apartments to all!
I had a toilet broken a while ago, but it was fixed straight away by the apartment office staff Arielle's swift action.
Thank you again for the hard work of the Nantucket office and maintenance staff.
We have lived at Nantucket for many years and absolutely love it! The leasing office is run so efficiently by Vivian (manager) and Arielle ( asst. manager.) They work together better than any office we’ve ever experienced! It’s like they can read each other’s minds. You’re always welcome in the office and always greeted with a real smile even when you see they are busy (which is all the time,) Arielle will drop whatever she is doing and help you without making you wait or feel that you should come back. I’ve never been told that I need to make an appointment, always gotten help with whatever I needed immediately. Also, I’ve never seen a managers door open willing to help if the others are busy, but Vivian’s is. Amazing!
Just a few weeks ago the pool had to be closed, and Vivian, Arielle and Domingo (maintenance manager,) worked tirelessly to get it functioning again. In the midst of that, they were able to hold a community get together so that the all the residents could get to know one another better. It was great to watch both Vivian and Arielle mingling with all the residents, you don’t see that very often.
Most importantly, you can see how much they care about their residents and really make it feel like a solid community!!
The maintenance here is exceptional!!! Domingo, (maintenance manger,) Jose, and Sergio are a one of a kind crew. Domingo isn’t your ordinary maintenance mgr. He manages his crew and gets his hands dirty as well. Often early in the mornings you can find him picking up loose trash on the property or blowing the leaves off the sidewalks, or cleaning the pool, while Jose cleans the pool area and the barbecue grills. Jose, who has been here for as long as we have, knows the in’s and out’s of everything here. Jose is there before anyone in the mornings making sure the office is clean from the floors to the gyms and the bathrooms, not just clean but spotless. When you need help with something quickly, all you need to do is ask someone from maintenance and they are right they’re ready and willing to help. Each one of them has their own responsibility and they take them very seriously while working together like a well oiled machine! I have to add, not once have we not seen one of them without a smile. That includes Sergio who keeps our garbage area as clean as possible! In the meantime, also takes care of work orders. This crew takes care of the Nantucket as if it was their own home!
Everyone that works here at Nantucket get along so seamlessly together and it shows! They all take pride in their jobs, and care about the residents and safety at Nantucket…you don’t see that often!
Nantucket is a GREAT community to live in!!! We have made many long lasting friends here!
Lately I have had numerous bad experiences with the Nantucket which have made me less likely to recommend moving here. These include:
-LOUD construction that continues all day long (update: the obnoxiously loud construction beeping noise has now been ongoing for 6+ hours). I complained to the front desk regarding the noise, and they shared there’s nothing they can do about it. This makes it impossible to work from home, let alone stay sane.
-Stolen bike from third floor apartment balcony. Again, when I complained to the office numerous times about this, they apologized and said they would follow up…but never did.
-Stolen packages from the package room.
-Poor security. I have spotted men loading old appliances stored in the parking lot (e.g. old washers & dryers) into trucks. I am also frequently followed into the apartment complex through the gate by non-residents.
I have enjoyed the spaciousness of my apartment and the close proximity to running trails and parks. I regret that important security concerns and resident complaints are overlooked by the property manager and staff.
